ASCORBIC ACID

Ascorbic acid, also known as vitamin C, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays an important physiological function in the human body.  Here is a description of ascorbic acid and some common uses: 


Description: 

Chemical properties: Ascorbic acid is a white crystal with acidic properties and is easily soluble in water.

· Source: Ascorbic acid is mainly found in fresh fruits (such as citrus, strawberries, kiwi, etc.) and vegetables (such as tomatoes, spinach, peppers, etc.).

· Physiological function: Ascorbic acid participates in a variety of biochemical reactions in the human body, and plays an important role in anti-oxidation, 

  anti-inflammation, and promoting collagen synthesis.


Purpose: 

1. Immune system support: Ascorbic acid helps to enhance the function of the immune system, improve resistance, and prevent the occurrence of colds and other             diseases.

2. Antioxidant effect: As a powerful antioxidant, ascorbic acid can neutralize free radicals, reduce oxidative stress damage to cells and tissues, and protect the body from oxidative stress.

3. Promote collagen synthesis: Ascorbic acid is a key substance in collagen synthesis, which helps maintain the health and elasticity of skin, bones, blood vessels and other tissues.

4. Enhanced iron absorption: Ascorbic acid helps promote the absorption of non-hemoglobin iron, which can prevent iron deficiency anemia.

5. Anti-inflammatory effect: Ascorbic acid can reduce the inflammatory response and reduce the pain and discomfort caused by inflammation.
